FAQ
1. Do I have to replace all my locks to get new keys?
No, we offer a re-key service that in most cases reuses
your existing locks.  For most residential houses or
condos we can do it for less than $100*, sometimes even
less.
2. Is it really a good idea to have my new house or condo
re-keyed?
You don't know who the former owner gave keys to your
house or condo.   Re-keying will give you the peace of
mind of knowing that you have control of all of the keys for
your new home.
3. What if I'm an owner of a newly built or renovated
house or condo?
Most builders use a master key system for the locks they
install. This means that while each individual house or
condo may have keys that work only one unit or home,
there also is a key that will open every unit or home. We
have seen a condo rehab where every single unit was on
the same key.
4. What is a master key?
A master key is a key that will open all the locks on a
master key system.
5. What is a master key system?
A master key system is mostly used in a commercial
setting, and is used to allow certain key holders access to
only certain doors, while letting the person with the master
key access to all doors.  Keller Lock and Safe has the
ability to setup and maintain a master key system.  Give us
a call to discuss setting up a master key system.
6. I can't get into my safe, can you get us into our safe?
Yes, we are able to open most safes and repair the safe in
a fairly short period of time.  Give us a call, try to have the
brand, model and serial number available.
7. Is there anyway to minimize the chances of getting
locked out of my safe?
Just like on your car preventive maintenance can prevent
expensive repairs down the road.  We recommend at least
a yearly checkup on your safe.  Keller Lock and Safe can
provide this preventive maintenance for your safe at a very
reasonable price.
